Just added to my list is diminutive Dame Ellen MacArthur In early February she broke the round-the-world single-handed sailing record by taking a 60 foot trimaran 27,000 miles in a little over 71 days. At 28 years old and around 140 pounds, that’s quite an achievement. This is her second time round the world alone without stopping – the first was in the Vindee Globe, where she took second place at the tender age of 23. Inspiring stuff!
